Scuba diving courses are the first steps in becoming scuba certified. Most scuba rentals require some kind of certification to ensure that you know how to handle yourself underwater. The Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) is the largest diver training organization in the world and one of the most convenient methods of certification.

• Emergency skills like sharing air.Scuba diving courses are divided up into the subcategories. The most basic is the open water diver certification. The Open Water certification introduces the diver to all the fundamentals of scuba. The next level is the Advanced Open Water, which teaches the techniques needed for diving up to and beyond 60 meters.
